Steve Jobs
Steve Paul Jobs was born in California, on February 22, 1955. He was adopted when he was a baby and grew up with his new family in Northern California.
After high school Jobs went to a college in Oregon, but he left it after the first semester to travel to India. When he came back to California he learned that his high-school friend Steve Wozniak built computers as a hobby. In 1976 Jobs and Wozniak started AppleComputers. They worked in Jobs' garage.
Jobs and his team invented the Macintosh computer. It wasn't very popular at first, and Jobs left the company in 1985.
In 1986 Jobs bought Pixar Animation Studios. It produced famous movies such as Toy Story, Finding Nemo. They made a lot of money.
Then Apple asked Jobs to come back and become its leader. Steve Jobs helped the company release such devices as the iPod, the iPad, the iPhone. In 2011 Apple was the richest company in the world.
