LESSON 2: SUMMER HOLIDAYS WRITING
Good Morning! How are you today?

SPEAKING GAME:  DID YOU...

Children for a circle and the teacher stands in the middle.  Teacher asks a question about their summer holidays.... Did you eat, drink, see, go.....?  Children stay still if the answer is NO and they move one step towards the teacher if the answer is YES.  Teacher can continue or she can ask individuals the question directly and make sure that they can give the correct answer.

FIND SOMEONE WHO....

Have the children revise talking about their holidays and asking questions.  Use the table in the worksheet. Go through each line to make sure they know which questions to use. eg... DID YOU SEE grandma  NOT... DID YOU GO GRANDMA.  The word TO is not there so it can only be SEE.  

First one to fill out all the spaces wins.  Give the rest of the children time to fill out the table if needed.

Go through the answers by asking questions:

WHO SAW THEIR GRANDMA?  Children should answer in full sentences.  JILL SAW GRANDMA/ JILL SAW HER GRANDMA.

WRITING

Elicit what type of communication is shown on the worksheet - EMAIL.  What is an email?  

It gets sent electronically from one person to another.

You both need to have an email address.

You can send it to more than one person at a time.

The recipient recieves it straight away. 

You can add attatchments like photos.

Show the children the layout and which lines are important to fill out.

Give an example and ask them to write an email to you and using their fortune tellers they should write the information about their partners.
