I would like a few children to introduce the class today and be the 3 minute teacher.  Think about:

• How are you?
• What day is it today? Yesterday? Tomorrow?
• What is todays date?
• What is the weather like today?
• Which season are we in?
• What did you do at the weekend? Ask someone what they did at the weekend?
• What is your favourite food/drink/hobby?
• Count to 20.

Revise the story of PIP from last week by doing the PLAYPOSIT QUIZ together.

If you dont want to play the playposit video to do the quiz you can use the playposit worksheet to ask the children the quiz questions about the book and to check understanding.  Either or is fine depending on timing. 

Do the reading exercise on your own.  The bird names have been mixed up.  You have to write them out correctly and see that they match the description. 

See if you can name the parts of the bird together with your partner.  Use the words at the bottom of the worksheet.

Cut the dominoes out and play with a group of friends.  When your teacher has checked them, go back and stick them on your worksheet on your own.
