TASK:

Play the following games with the whole class.  Last ones standing are the winners.  Use the COLOUR ACTIONS FROM LAST RECYCLING LESSON.  (red-shake your head, blue - touch your shoe, green - bow to the queen, orange - pat your back, brown - turn around)

 

GAME 1:

Teacher will tell you a piece of rubbish and you have to tell them the colour of bin it goes in.  

apple core, newspaper, cola glass bottle, can of cola, old t shirt, used pizza box,  glass mineral water bottle, banana peel, tunafish tin, used FPP2 mask, plastic bag, 

 

GAME 2:

Teacher will give you a colour of bin and you should tell them what goes in it.  You can give an example if you know one.

yellow bin - metal and plastic 

brown bin - kitchen waste

orange/black bin - mixed waste

green bin - glass bin

red bin - paper bin

TASK:

Today I would like you to make a poster about one of the bins.  You need help save the environment and make others aware of what goes in which bin.   Your posters will be put up to remind others. 

  1. Choose a colour of bin.
  2. Find as many pictures you can about your bin.    If you dont have paper cuttings you can draw pictures.
  3. First write your title on your poster.  Your title should be big so that everyone can read it.
  4. Use the wordcloud and add as many words in your poster that belong to your bin.  Look for other English words online that describe your pictures. 
  5. Present your poster to your class or to a friend.
